Vegan dining in Grants Pass, Oregon: Wild Grapes Bistro

While Wild Grapes Bistro and Juice Bar is vegetarian (with nearly every menu item available in a vegan version), it still has something for everyone: those who want healthy, those who want burgers, and omnivores who don’t yet know how amazing vegan food really is.

Take this Chipotle Love Breakfast Panini, for example. The vegan version is made with Just Egg, and inside the gorgeous panini is also mushrooms, spinach, tomato, cilantro, cashew chipotle sauce, vegan cheese, and vegan mayo. This breakfast plate (served all day) comes with fruit salad, and normally also with home-fried potatoes, but they were out and offered fries instead (definitely no problem there; the fries are also delicious).

For a healthier meal, try a Power Bowl, for which you choose a size, grain (quinoa or jasmine or brown rice), green (romaine or spinach), veggies (everything from cucumber to carrot to broccoli), and a dressing (sesame, ranch, bleu cheese — all available vegan). You can add on a vegan protein as well as vegan cheese.

On different visits, we also sampled the Classic Burger (Wild Grapes’ house-made veggie burger) and the beloved Beyond Burger (both of which come with those beautiful fries). Omnivores most likely will love the Beyond Burger, but the Classic is delicious as well.

Wild Grapes also offers a variety of wraps (which come with fruit and potatoes). The Quinoa Wrap is spectacular, comprising a quinoa patty, sprouts, red cabbage, carrots, hummus, vegan mayo, onions, lettuce, tomato, and shredded vegan cheddar.

The juices and smoothies are also delightful … we sampled a vegan Oatmeal Cookie smoothie, which is made with oats, bananas, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice, vanilla extract, and protein powder. Pictured below is (what’s left of) an immunity-boosting Liquid Sunshine, made of carrot, orange, ginger, lemon, and apple juices.

Do visit Wild Grapes … and enjoy! We are thrilled to see a vegan-friendly restaurant in a region with far too few of them, and we hope this place thrives and expands to neighboring communities in Southern Oregon.
