Happy new year from all of us at Ashland Creek Press!

The end of 2019 also marked the closing of Siskiyou Prize submissions, and we’d like to thank all who submitted. This year’s judge is Carol J. Adams, author of The Sexual Politics of Meat: A Feminist-Vegetarian Critical Theory, a groundbreaking book that celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2020.

Great thanks to Carol for being our judge, and also to our sponsor, the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology, which will offer a residency to the prize winner. Founded in 1970, the Sitka Center fosters creativity, intellectual inquiry, and education, expanding the relationships between art, nature, and humanity. The Center offers workshops, residencies, and community events at its facility on the central Oregon coast, at the edge of a Nature Conservancy preserve and in the center of a United Nations Biosphere Reserve.

We look forward to announcing the winner and finalists this spring … please stay tuned! To be the first to receive this and other ACP news, please join our mailing list.
Wishing you a happy, peaceful, and joyous 2020!
